In today's class we'll practice clean details that make entrance and travel sequences look polished, professional, and fully put together. Building on a simple footwork sequence—step-hold, step, step—we'll create interest by varying the styling for count 2, the hold. First we'll practice layering isolations in the upper body; then in module two we'll run through variations for feet and legs and undulations; and we'll close out with sinuous paths created by simple pivots. Altogether, we have 14 variations, and we will practice each one three times: starting with a slow-tempo breakdown and placement practice, we'll then progress to dancing with moderate tempo music, and close class with quick footwork in an uptempo flow.
